Jonesborough Train

In my book, "Wellington Rose," I write about my character, Ian Banks, running from a bank robbery in the historic town of Jonesborough, Tennessee, which is close to my hometown of Johnson City. I have always loved Jonesborough and all its history. When writing the book, I stayed at the historic Eureka Inn, a lovely renovated inn that's over 200 years old. Close by are railroad tracks, on which trains still run to this day. I enjoy hearing the sound of the whistle blowing. It makes me think of times gone by. Staying here helped me picture my character running down by the nearby creek, crossing the railroad tracks, and up the hill for his escape. If you like history (and trains), take a trip to this quaint historic "oldest town in Tennessee."
