Veterinarian Yvette Hepler thought she had closed the door on her ex-husband Tate after his betrayal shattered their marriage. Co-parenting their children is a constant tug-of-war, with Tate playing the fun parent while Yvette shoulders the responsibility. But when Tate suffers a tragic accident, Yvette finds herself at his side once more. Against her better judgment, she opens her home—and her heart—to the man who once broke it. As they rediscover each other, old wounds begin to heal, and Yvette dares to believe in second chances.  But with Tate's lover still in the picture and shocking secrets revealed, can they have a future together?

Meanwhile, Brooke and Dillon McGregor begin their married life sooner than planned, exchanging vows in front of family and friends.  With a baby on the way and Dillon’s past as a guardian angel behind him, they settle into a loft at Carson Farm—only to discover that Dillon’s human life carries dangerous baggage. A ruthless gun dealer resurfaces, forcing Dillon into secret exchanges under threats against Brooke and their family.  Can Brooke and Dillon escape the past in order to build their future?

Two couples. Two battles with the past. One question: can love survive when secrets and danger refuse to stay buried?

Reviews

"This book and its wonderful characters stole my heart as I read of their struggles, triumphs, forgiveness, strengths and making amends. Single mom and veterinarian Yvette Hepler, is struggling with the love she still holds for Tate, her ex-husband. Secrets and bad choices could continue to keep them apart. Young couple Brook and Dillion are just starting their life together, but the past has a way of resurfacing at the wrong time, threatening everything they have overcome.
This book is full of intrigue and surprises, with character guest appearances from the past. I love that the character's ancestors are a part of the story and that Angels are always watching over them, with specific reasons."

I really enjoyed Beach House Memories by Cheryl R. Lane. The story does a great job balancing emotional depth with a bit of suspense. Yvette and Tate’s storyline felt especially real—messy, complicated, and full of the kind of tension that comes with trying to rebuild trust after betrayal. It kept me invested the whole time, wondering if they could truly find their way back to each other.
At the same time, Brooke and Dillon’s story added a layer of danger and intrigue that kept things from ever feeling slow. I liked how both couples were dealing with their pasts in very different ways, but with the same question—can love really survive everything? Overall, this was a heartfelt, engaging read about second chances, forgiveness, and facing what you’ve tried to leave behind.
I am SOOO looking forward to more!

"Beach House Memories' by Cheryl R Lane is the sixth book in the Angel series. I enjoyed the story. The characters are well written and are easy to care about. I was especially drawn to Yvette Hepler, a veterinarian, who is struggling with her divorce from Tate. Being a single parent and dealing with his infidelity has made her vulnerable and uncertain. She still loves her ex-husband. Tate's near fatal accident and his memory loss brings them together temporarily. I wondered if they would get a second chance at happiness. They are unaware of the Angels that are involved or the deadly happenings that will soon unfold drawing in family and friends such as Brooke and Dillon McGregor who are just beginning their marriage. Will Dillon's past change his future? I loved the picturesque settings and the author's crisp dialogue. The multiple storylines came together flawlessly with heart stopping consequences. Cheryl R Lane is a talented writer who drew me into this story. Her writing flows smoothly and makes me feel part of this world of romance, suspense and the paranormal. This book is definitely a keeper.
I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion."
